APPALACHIAN TRAIL HIKING PACKAGES

Experience 1 or more days on the famous Appalachian Trail, while based in our cozy lodge. Enjoy the best hiking trails in Maine each day with minimal gear to carry, and spend each night in a comfortable bed.

After your hike relax in our casual country lodge with all household amenities, and socialize with any thru-hikers who may also be staying here. The lodge is a few miles from several trailheads, and we will provide transportation to your choice of trailheads, and pick you up at a designated time at the end of your hiking day. Several sections are accessible---each approximately 10 hiking miles---and we will help you plan your hikes according to your experience and preferences. Hiking experience is recommended, as these trails are moderate to difficult

A NIGHT ON BEMIS MOUNTAIN

Experience an overnight under the stars on the Appalachian Trail. Bemis Mt. is one of the more popular sections of hiking trails on the western Maine section of the Appalachian Trail. We arrange for you to hike the 10 mile section between So. Arm Rd. and Rte. #17 in two days, spending a night in the Bemis Mt. shelter. Previous hiking experience is recommended as the hike is difficult, and you must have your own back-packing equipment.

On the 1st morning, get dropped off at the base of Old Blue Mt., and begin your adventure with a 3 mile uphill climb to the ridge of the Bemis Range, stay the night at the AT shelter, then continue the next day to hike the rest of the Bemis Range, coming out at Rte. #17, the " Height of the Land” with spectacular views of Lake Mooselookmeguntic, and the mountain range. You will be picked up at this point at a predetermined time and driven back to the lodge for your 2ndnight’s stay.

The package consists of 2 nights at the hiker lodge, and necessary shuttles.

AT THRU-HIKING SECTIONS

We have packages for slackpacking 1 to 4 sections from Grafton Notch to Rangeley.

Section 1:   Grafton Notch to East B Hill Rd.
Section 2:   East B Hill Rd to So Arm Rd
Section 3:   So Arm Rd to Highway #17
Section 4:   Highway #17 to Rangeley

 
You can opt to start the packages from our Lodge, or we can meet you in the am to pick up your pack, and pick you up at the end of that day to come to our lodge.

On your last day, if northbound, we can drop you off at Rte #17 and bring your pack to Rangeley, so you can slackpack the next section to Rte #4, and hitch in to Rangeley.  The other option for your last day, is to drop you off with your pack at Rte #17.
